Yuletide Bride is the third book in the Regency Christmas Brides Series by Kasey Stockton. Set in the year 1815 in London, the story follows Colin Birchall, an English aristocrat whose estate has been falling to pieces bit by bit over the years. When his elderly great-aunt Edith offers to leave him twenty thousand pounds as an inheritance, Colin sees a chance to renovate his ancestral home and give his mother a life of comfort. But Great-Aunt Edith has a condition that Colin must get married before the Twelfth Night of the year. Soon, Colin proposes an arrangement to the vicar's daughter, Mercy. Determined not to become the town spinster, Mercy agrees to his proposal, and they get married. However, Edith insists they must be in love, which is much more complicated. What lies in store for Mercy and Colin?
For readers of Regency romance, Yuletide Bride is the book you need for a quiet and delightful read. Paced deliberately and filled with romance, charm, and light-hearted banter, the narrative is a breeze to read. Author Kasey Stockton has a way of creating immensely likable characters who charm their way into your heart, and the main leads in this book are no exception. Colin and Mercy both want different things and have their own goals. Fate brings them together, and slowly they start to realize they are perfect for each other. All their interactions are entertaining and will definitely be appreciated by romance lovers. I also loved the character of Great-Aunt Edith. This is a feel-good Christmas romance that is sure to brighten your day. I enjoyed it very much and heartily recommend it!
