In Zombie Prompts: Creative Writing for the Apocalypse, Marie Eager gives the reader (who most likely is a creative writer of some sort) a vast selection of writing prompts that are in some way related to zombies. Some of the ideas involve topics like: What would you do if someone you loved turned into a zombie? What would you be like if you were a zombie? There are also various, very creative ideas that might be starters for interesting and unusual stories about zombies. So if you ever wanted to write a story including zombies but weren't sure about where to start, then this book can help you.
Zombie Prompts: Creative Writing for the Apocalypse by Marie Eager is divided into different thematic chapters, e.g. "Love and Zombies", "Zombieverse", and "Asleep and Awake". I enjoyed just reading through the various prompts, and I had a few insights on how I could use some of the ideas in a novel - not about zombies, but the ideas are easily adjusted to other topics, e.g. you could replace zombies with vampires or elves or anything else you might want to write about. I found this little book to be very entertaining and inspiring. It must take quite a colourful mind to come up with such ideas, some of them I have not heard before, and that is always a good thing. I am sure the author would be able to create some interesting stories herself. In short, if you are looking for zombie writing ideas, this is the ideal book for you!
