David Ferguson is a normal man simply trying to make a living. But things are about to change for David because one mysterious meeting with a stranger at an airport has changed his life forever. Now that he’s finally arrived home, he finds himself stuck in the middle of something crazy with people attempting to kill him and the people he has found himself with. His best friend is dead and he finds himself allied with a motley crew consisting of a waitress and some Russian mafia, along with a couple of police officers. They’re all in for more than they ever would have expected and far more than they could ever have imagined, and it’s all based on a chance encounter and something called the Schulmann file in The Great Game by D.R. Bell.

The Great Game is a story of intrigue and most definitely of adventure. David, Maggie and all the rest were interesting characters that I wanted to know more and more about. I couldn’t stop reading until I got to the end and even then I still wanted to learn more about the characters. David and Maggie were an interesting couple and even though they only knew each other for a very short time they were good together. I was very happy with the way this story developed and I could relate to the characters very well. You’ll want to pick up this book and check it out for yourself because I haven’t read one like it in a long time.
