Whoa! Just, whoa! That's exactly what I thought when I finished reading Fragment by author Alvin J. Atwater. This book is a true thrill ride of a read in the genre of fantasy fiction, and has numerous twists and turns that many readers, including fans of fantasy, will not expect. Follow the story of Jonas, a young man with quite a mission. He must defeat the mythological gods, Olympus and Asgard, in order to save not only himself, but his very world. The adventurous aspect of the story line is built up with action, adventure, romance, and some pretty fantastic sword fighting scenes as well. Will Jonas accomplish his quest? You'll need to read Fragment to find out!
I very much enjoyed Fragment. Author Alvin J. Atwater has done a great job in creating characters, especially Jonas, that his readers will relate to, connect with, and truly care about. If that isn't a hallmark of a great author, I'm not sure what is. This story is a roller coaster of action and emotion, and readers will find themselves obsessively reading through the pages, determined to find out exactly what happens at the end. Readers who enjoy fantasy fiction, or those just looking for an interesting and entertaining read should absolutely grab this book. I highly recommend Fragment, and I certainly hope that author Alvin J. Atwater is hard at work on his next novel of this type. If it's anything like Fragment, it will definitely be worth a read!
