After writing children stories to encourage my son to read, I decided to tackle my life long dream of writing. When I placed second in a writing contest, my dream of being a published writer became a reality. I have been blessed to be married for over two decades to my best friend and we have one son (who was truly a gift from God.) I am a life long Southern girl and attend a local Baptist Church. I love to write books that inspire and uplift people.

Christmas stories and novellas are some of my favorite things from the Christmas season. They are right up there with gingerbread cookies and Christmas trees and, for me, date back to a time when my mom would read fun stories about Santa and reindeer all December long. Full of warmth, good spirit, and cheerful inspiration, A Christmas Gift for Mary Jones is everything I look for in my feel-good Christmas reading package. Kimberly B. Jackson takes us into the world of Mary Jones, a down to earth and selfless woman who worked hard and lived her life in a simple, caring way.
Mary is a nice, sweet character. She's really easy to relate to with a caring nature and a 'hard work' ethic. When she finds out that her husband has a daughter and a granddaughter that he never told her about, she reacts with love and calm, instead of a typical reaction, which would be anger, hate, and suspicion. Teresa and her little girl Emma have lived a hard life. Teresa's mother has passed on and the two are left relatively alone, and pretty poor. Theresa's last hope is to meet the father that she never knew, but is surprised to find that it's too late. The story was a wonderful, almost prodigal son kind of tale, with a few different twists. I really enjoyed it and it really set the tone of family warmth that I enjoy. What a perfect way to get into the Christmas Season!
