A Day At The Races is the second book in the Adventures of Chief and Sarge series by C.J. Peterson. Chief and Sarge's parents, Trevor and Cassie, told them that they were going to stay at Sam's house while they were going to check the streetcar races. At Sam's home, Chief and Sarge find ways to play in their own treehouse. Meanwhile, Trevor and Cassie, the parents, decided to take Chief and Sarge to the street races and let them talk to the racers. As the days go by, the Serenity Acres Crew do their utmost best to get through the days and make new friends along the way. But as the races get increasingly intense, can the Serenity Acres Crew move along and enjoy themselves?
Author C.J. Peterson's fun-filled story is a joy for anyone seeking extraordinary delights in the sci-fi adventure genre. Filled with action, humor, and adventure, A Day At The Races is an absolute blast from start to finish. With colorful characters and a fast-moving plot, Peterson weaves a short tale of friendship and adventure that you can't get enough of. The plot moves at a blistering pace, with colorful characters and personalities that pop out of the pages. Chief and Sarge are the two main characters driving the plot forward. They are likable protagonists you find yourself rooting for until the end. The illustrations add an extra layer that's bound to entice kids who love adventure stories.
