A Globe Within a Globe is the story of Katerina and her friends. Katerina is excited because there will be a school trip to England. However, that's not even the best part. It will be a memorable trip with Mrs. Eva and her Magical Crystal Globe. In this way, they go to England, but not to its current era - to the Elizabethan period. They wear period costumes and visit the most iconic places, such as the Globe Theatre and Richmond Palace. On their excursion, the children learn fun facts about history and culture. They even meet Queen Elizabeth, who gives them a tour of her palace. Demetra Tsavaris-Lecourezos and Katerina Lecourezos present us with an educational and entertaining story accompanied by Marina Saumell's striking illustrations.
A Globe Within a Globe is a story that both young people and adults will enjoy. My favorite part was when the children visited the Globe Theatre. There, Mrs. Eva explains details about Shakespeare and his plays. Demetra Tsavaris-Lecourezos and Katerina Lecourezos entertainingly compare the information. In addition, they explain differences that have occurred in some places since the Elizabethan period. The story is fun and shows that learning new things can be exciting as the characters learn, play instruments, and express themselves freely. I loved the illustrations by Marina Saumell because they are colorful, with varied settings; I particularly liked how parts of the Globe Theatre are shown. It will undoubtedly arouse the curiosity of those interested in history and teaches how entertaining it is to learn about the world.
