Portia is comfortable in her life as a college admissions recruiter at Princeton University. Her longtime love, Mark, their house, their friends...heck, their whole life together is predictable and wonderfully routine. Her life has not always been this way. In fact, it was a series of storms for most of her life before settling down into what she knows now as normal. All will be thrown into upheaval as her past comes back into focus, her relationship with Mark shows its true side and a choice that will change life forever is made.

The author has done a wonderful job creating a plot that is believable to the point that the reader feels as if Portia might just be a relative or close friend. It is easy to root for the woman who has worked so hard to get where she is and rant at those who hurt her. Scenes in the book are vivid and geographically accurate. It is always nice when an author does research and creates chapters that could be something a person could actually see in the real world. I loved the way the author reeled my interest in so tightly that I could not wait until the next chance to listen to the audio book. In fact, a commute could not have been more pleasurable if only for listening to the story! I highly recommend this book to those who are interested in fiction, romance, or just about anything with that fast paced college placement feel in the underlying story line.
