Adorable Antics by Victoria Berkhin is a collection of cute poems for kids where they see different animals coming to life through the poet's magic words. The poems introduce readers to a world of not only creatures, but also life and nature. All the poems capture the attention and imagination of young readers and keep them glued to this collection until the very last poem. The tone of the poems is humorous, yet at the same time educational and informative. Through her poems, the author introduces young readers to a wider view of the world and the animals that exist around them.
I enjoyed the poems thoroughly as they are simple and funny. The verses convey a lot to readers about each animal. The rhymes are cute and the pictures are bright and colorful, making the poems even more delightful. This collection can be read out to kids at bedtime and it is a good collection for introducing poems to kids. The book can also be used for poetry reading sessions in classrooms and school libraries. The poems are not only educational and informative, they also develop awareness and observation in readers and encourage them to notice their surroundings.
Books with concepts, educational themes and messages are good for children as they get into reading to help them learn new things in a better and easier way.
