Author Biography

Ms Bella St John is one of the most original thinkers you could hope to meet when it comes to a range of topics whether it be quantum physics, history, psychology, artificial intelligence, spirituality, culture, business, branding, marketing, writing, where science fiction and science fact intersect, and so much more…

She is an intelligent anachronist who is much more at home wearing long skirts and writing with her gold fountain pen than she is in jeans and a t-shirt and writing with a ballpoint.

Bella is an acclaimed Achievement Strategist, Writer, Artist, and Photographer who combines a lifetime examining ‘what makes people tick’ with her eclectic range of interests.

“Who am I? Although I've achieved some amazing things in my life, I consider myself a 'work in progress', so the answer to that question changes often, but some things that remain fairly constant - I love most things Edwardian/Victorian (I'm one of those definitely born in the wrong time period), red wine, exploring new places, writing, photography, quantum physics (yes, I know, that doesn't exactly fit 'Victorian'), being inspired, inspiring others, anything steam-powered, learning new things - and discussing and sharing with others. In 2016, I decided to essentially retire, sell up, and see the world fulltime - becoming a 24/7 Luxurious Nomad, despite having a mobility challenge. Some people have said of my adventures and all the things I have done that I must be at least 172 years of age (no comments about me looking 172 years old, thank you!)”

AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John asks whether the evolution of AI will change what it means to be human. AI Chatbots like ChatGPT and Google's Bard haven't been around for that long, yet they've already changed how some humans work. According to this book, Italy has already banned the use of ChatGPT after a concerning security breach. Even the actual creators of AI are now worried that everything is happening too fast. This is one of the things the book examines in detail. How far has AI gone? How fast does it evolve? Will it truly be a danger to humanity at some stage? Readers learn the difference between AI and AGI and how both could do immense good but also immense damage to humans. The author looks at questions that are relevant today. The answers affect everyone - no matter whether you work in a profession that could easily be replaced by AI or not.

I picked up AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John because AI has already impacted my life. I'm a freelance writer who can't find clients willing to pay a real human. You often see "writers are welcome to use ChatGPT to create content fast and cheap." I was interested in reading more about AI, its history, and its potential future. This book did not disappoint. The author has similar concerns to myself, even though I found some things I disagree with. I found the book well-written, engaging, and thought-provoking. You don't need to know anything about AI to understand what she's writing about. The discussion on whether AI can be sentient is very interesting. It's a staple topic of many science fiction series and such a fascinating topic. There wasn't a single boring chapter in this book, and you could tell the author had put a lot of effort into doing her research.

AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John, like many other AI-related subjects, is written to encourage discussion on the topics of ethical considerations, like the use of AI to create works of art, to aid a country in its fight for world dominance, limit human interaction, risk avoidance, and suppression of creativity. St John explains the difference between AI and AGI and provides informative links to aid in clarifying a point or expanding on the knowledge of a particular subject. It opens with an ironic poem by AI and includes sections of AI-generated writing responses based on well-known current and historical figures and interviews. She incorporates AI-generated images to illustrate the ease with which art may be produced synthetically.

Ms. Bella St John reveals specific points, such as the rate at which AI is advancing, the use of AI in particular jobs like data entry and customer service, and the possibility of lies or misinformation from AI. It covers a range of debates, including whether an AI may possess consciousness and empathy and whether those qualities qualify AI to be regarded as human, loss of jobs, the implications of Deep Fake videos, bionics, cyborg humans, Neuralink, sentience and AI dreams, legalities surrounding AI, risks, security, and the possibility that a singularity has occurred. Through AI, Ms. Bella St John generated an interview with Elon Musk about the future of AI in which the AI Musk argues for the human component in creative pieces.

St John encourages open-minded, thought-provoking discussions with people with different viewpoints without fear or backlash. Even though it cautions against fully developing AI and addresses ways to mitigate the dominance of AI programs in businesses, the book is mostly unbiased, outlining the potential future of AI technology without favoring support or all-around opposition to the direction in which AI seems to be headed. AI-AGI Revolution is a guide that asks us to view the information with an open mind and walk away with a more educated view of AI and AGI and the impact the development can have on our world.

AI-AGI Revolution: Will This Change What it Means to Be Human? is a work of non-fiction in the social issues, technology, and culture subgenres. It is suitable for the general adult reading audience and is penned by Ms. Bella St John and co-authored using AI technology. As its title suggests, the work explores the history of the development of artificial intelligence, the reasons why so many people have deep concerns about AI’s impact on humanity's future and the incredible potential that AI has to affect every facet of modern life. There are also very poignant talking points discussing human rights, free thought, and what it means to be a sentient, independent being.

Ms. Bella St John has crafted a fascinating work that considers many deep themes, and the decision to include AI writing as part of that only adds another level of depth to the arguments and ideas presented. I enjoyed that there was no set path for the work or specific way of viewing the evidence because that paved the way for any reader to learn about AI and draw conclusions from the ideas and research. St John writes with an evident passion and enthusiasm for the subject matter while presenting a balanced viewpoint on the pros and cons of our technological and personal future relationship with AI. Overall, I recommend AI-AGI Revolution to anyone seeking a comprehensive springboard for further research and discussion.

AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John concerns the development of Artificial Intelligence. The concept of Artificial Intelligence has been around for many years and has been a part of our lives through our regular usage of smartphones and the internet. The problem with creating something that thinks and grows on its own without the need for human intervention is that one day it will be equal to the performance of human beings. With the constant advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced General Intelligence, will humanity be replaced by nothing more than machines that can arguably function better than our organic minds? Will it redefine the meaning of being human?

AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John offers an incredible insight into the extent of AI and AGI’s capabilities. I liked the way this book showed key differences between the Industrial Revolution and the invention of AI and AGI, which might end up jeopardizing humanity in the long run. Another interesting topic in this book is the ethical question of creating a ‘conscious’ machine. Not only does the author discuss various intriguing topics related to AI and AGI, but she has also summed up the differences between AI and AGI wonderfully. This book is also littered with countless examples and applications of AI and AGI in our lives both now and in the future, along with its impact on humankind. This is an eye-opening and mind-blowing read that will keep you thinking for hours after you have finished this book.

AI-AGI Revolution: Will This Change What it Means to be Human? by Ms. Bella St John is a non-fiction work that focuses on the social issues presented by AI. This is a book that would appeal most to an audience made up primarily of adults with an interest in AI. Artificial Intelligence (AI) examines both the current and potential issues that are facing the world because of the application of both AI and General Intelligence (AGI). Many worry about the risk AI may pose to society, humanity, and internet security. The popularity of ChatGPT and the security breach it caused have brought about regulatory steps such as the temporary banning of AI in Italy. Are you ready to explore AI and AGI and learn about their origin, sentience, consciousness, and more?

AI-AGI Revolution by Ms. Bella St John is a well-written exploration with an intriguing cover image that had me not only interested in the book the moment I saw it but also questioning what I already knew about AI. Before reading this book, I had a basic understanding of AI and some practice using ChatGPT, but I had no idea how much I did not know about the subject. I was not aware that there had been a security breach with it or that there were people like Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak petitioning for the stalling of AI development. I have to say this book corrected so many of my previous misconceptions about AI and made me begin questioning whether its usefulness outweighs its potential risks. I found this book to be extremely informative and I hope the author decides to continue to write about AI in the future especially as AI continues to spread and evolve.
