All’s Well That Ends is a suspense novel by Maggie McChristie. Freelance writer and author, Jack Dunn has writers’ block. Hoping to reunite with his muse, he and his wife Marty join the treasure hunt that eccentric millionaire Leland Smith has devised. Jack has a knack for finding things, but the clues from the cryptic poem are challenging. But Jack loves a challenge. What the couple hadn’t expected was encountering danger when they hired Clark Kent to be their guide. Jack begins to have doubts about finding the treasure, but his curiosity will not disappear. Who knew finding a treasure chest would make a person appreciate the life they have, and value their loved ones even more? Who knew it could be so dangerous too.
“The soul is a treasure chest; hidden inside of it are priceless jewels.” No-one knows that better than Jack because of what he has endured. He has a dry sense of wit that makes him stand out as the perfect narrator in most of the story. He and Marty make a great couple and I love the quotes from books and noteworthy persons that they frequently use in their conversations. All’s Well That Ends by Maggie McChristie has the right amount of suspense to engage a reader. The poem is cleverly written and the story meaningful in many ways. If you appreciate treasure hunting tales like me, then All’s Well That Ends is a light suspense novel you will certainly enjoy with coffee.
