In his work, Are They Out There?, Colonel Gene P. Abel meticulously navigates through obfuscation and disinformation to present the most precise and credible insights regarding the existence of extraterrestrial life. The author discusses a scientific method when applied to evidence, unidentified anomalous phenomena as they relate to government hearings and records, and an in-depth review of an event in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 with interesting points about the people involved in the crash recovery and the handling of the information afterward. The author includes sightings worldwide over seven decades, military considerations, and the more credible alien abduction stories.

It's interesting that although many sightings have been explained or discredited, there are still experiences that cannot be rationalized, and Colonel Gene P. Abel brings all the credible evidence to light. Though his opinion may be understood from small portions of the book, most of the narrative is an objective report on the most defining or unexplainable instances and proof that could point to extraterrestrial life. I especially enjoyed his chapters about the Roswell incident, possible developments from alien technology, and space travel with its problems and proposed crafts. The full-color pictures from the James-Webb Telescope and the Hubble Telescope and the appendices with Haut's deathbed confession and the Twinning memo give readers a more enhanced understanding of the material. If you're ready to read a realistic approach to the possibility of alien life and whether we are visited by them, you will love Are They Out There? Diving for Answers In a Sea of Cover-Ups.
