Armageddon’s Arc by Victor Baptiste is a biblical/spiritual page-turner, impossible to put down. It also presents a tremendous challenge for reviewers, as virtually anything one might say would be a spoiler for what is surely one of the most thrillingly unpredictable plot lines in the history of fiction. This gripping novella opens with the protagonist, Killian (a priest), taking his own life in a most symbolic fashion in order to purposefully send himself to Hell (Tartarus) to implement a plan to reverse the course of spiritual history. To say anything more would be a disservice to the story line, which is impeccably crafted and sure to enthrall readers.

Armageddon’s Arc is written in an easy, conversational style which makes the plot twists accessible even for inexperienced readers. Victor Baptiste has wisely chosen to tell his remarkable story in simple terms so that its extraordinary ending will have maximum impact for the widest possible range of readers. Although the story is told in simple language, Armageddon’s Arc is chock full of vivid description and sinister images that will make Hell real and cause readers to reflect upon their own life choices and actions, lest they find themselves heading for eternal damnation in the afterlife. In this complicated world where a “Heaven is Real” mentality pervades much available Christian literature, Baptiste’s choice to focus on making Hell real for his readers is both courageous and timely. Armageddon’s Arc by Victor Baptiste is a powerful, thrilling tale of damnation, redemption, and the nature of divinity itself.
