True leaders forge their own paths, knowing when to shut off all the noise around them. Katie Goar went through a phase in her life when she faced homelessness. Yet, she went on to become a housing CEO who provides housing services to others. With Audacity, Goar presents a practical guide designed to help women learn about self-leadership. Never let conditions define who you are. This book will help you set up your own "Yes Plan" and develop skills in non-traditional locations. Grow a mindset with teeth, preserve your energy, build your own "inner ninja," turn your negatives into positives with the PARE model, and focus on the fundamentals. With this book, you will also learn to show your value by reducing friction, aim for sustainable excellence, and become strategically generous.

Through personal anecdotes and examples, Katie Goar introduces an illuminating self-help guide that will change how you look at leadership. For me, the best self-help guides focus on mental fortitude and working on the inner self, and this one does both in spades. Goar's stories are relatable, and her observations are spot-on. Even more impressive is the fact that everything discussed in this book is applicable to women in their everyday lives. Whether you're a professional working in a corporation or a stay-at-home mom, Goar shows how you can use your experience to hone specific skills and make your life more fulfilling. This is why I think this guide will appeal to all kinds of readers. It's very accessible and easy to read. If you're looking to enhance your leadership skills, I highly recommend it.
