Between the Two of You by Melissa Lynn is a chick lit read that will make you laugh out loud. The story follows Amy Lefevre, an accountant by profession; she lives in Quebec, Canada. Her life is not going as planned. She has no idea where her life is going so, to take charge, she decides to move to Winnipeg, thinking that all she needs is a new start. She had no idea that things would suddenly become fantastic (sort of) when her life collides with Jason's. He is an honest-to-goodness movie star and Amy cannot help but have a little crush on him. However, she is not the only one who wants Jason. She may have to fight for him, tooth and nail. Things get amazingly crazy when you have a crush on a movie star. But is that really something she wants for herself? Or is it just an illusion?
This was really a crazy, endearing and a fun romance. I don’t know why I don’t read chick lit more often because this was amazing. Amy is really like any other 20-something in this world, trying to find her place in society. She has some major quirks and they are pretty awesome. You may think it is predictable, but it is not. You will love Amy’s personality, her ball-buster attitude, and how she takes charge (with hilarious consequences). Plus, she is plain adorable. I liked her and I loved this novel.
