Author Biography

Writing has always been in Ms. Church's blood. At age 9, she would write picture books (about horses of course), tape them together (too young for staples??) and even give them a publishing house name (Church Books; what else?). To this day, those books sit in storage somewhere. In school, Church could be found in the back of the classroom, writing short stories (and still managing A's in English and Art).

Unfortunately, a lifetime of severe mental illness, anxiety and depression kept her from living her dream of publishing (and acting, though she appeared in many plays, a TV show, a small movie and a couple commercials).

By 2004, she was finally properly diagnosed, given the correct meds, and went out to live one of her lifelong dreams: Owning a horse. A magnificent horse who saved her from herself.

Her first book, House Cat (non-fiction) was traditionally published when an editor who rejected it left the publisher, and the new editor pulled Church's manuscript from a "slush" pile of 200 rejected manuscripts only to see it to publication. Her book Indoor Cats won the 2001 Iams Responsible Cat Ownership Award.

But, finally, after working on honing her fiction skills, Ms. Church made the decision to write a short novella, a brainstorm idea introducing a brand new, conceptual and innovative vampire series in a way never before done. As a no-name in fiction, this was a big, bold move. With no cash, no job (disability only due to mental illness), she put the book out all on her own; writing, editing, cover design, formatting, everything. Though far from perfect, this was a big step and a big dream.

Book One received a Finalist Medal in the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and Book Two is recently out. Book Three is on the horizon. Book One of a brand new series (The Anachronistic Dimensions Trilogy), Beyond Every Mirror is out and getting rave reviews for plot, characterization, formatting and cover design.

Beyond Every Mirror: Anachronistic Dimensions Book 1 by Christine Church is the story of a man and how his life is affected by his reflection and what he sees in the mirror. Only his reflection in mirrors reveals something far more sinister than you can even imagine. Dane Bainbridge is the kind of a man women desire. He is strong, bold and very handsome, so it makes for women to want him, men want to be him, and Dane thrives on that. He has everything that people envy, but what he truly wants is love. Only, the woman he loves and wants does not exist, except in mirrors. He has been seeing one woman in mirrors all his life and he has no idea if she is real or not. He only knows that he wants her. Meriah is the woman Dane sees in mirrors. She lives in a dimension beyond mirrors. Her world is kept alive with the blood of one mortal, Dane. His blood and his strength are keeping her world alive. But this means Dane has to suffer in every way, and he is miserable because he loves someone who he can never have.

This was definitely a different kind of science fiction romance. I have to admit, I have never read anything quite like it and I loved it. Brilliant and well written. Superb!! Also, I love the cover. I loved Dane, his charm and his attitude. He was strong and that is his main characteristic. He was also very intelligent and that was a surprise to me. He didn’t wait for clues to appear and he didn’t wait for an epiphany to hit him like magic. I can’t wait for the next novel in the series because this one just blew me away. And the writing style of the author was amazing. She handled the characters, and the two dimensions really well. I loved it!

Beyond Every Mirror by Christine Church is the first book in the Anachronistic Dimensions series. It is the story of Dane, a popular singer in a band, and Meirah, a young woman from a mirror dimension. Dane managed to enter this dimension in a past life and has since then been under a curse that always draws him back to Meirah and the mirrors. Meirah, however, is promised to someone else - and that someone else only cares about his own advantages. Only when Dane gets to meet Meirah in real life, beyond the mirrors, does he remember everything that happened. Soon he is about to lose his life - again. Will there be a way out of this vicious cycle of death and rebirth to the same fate?

The plot of Beyond Every Mirror by Christine Church will be very appealing to people who love fantasy books with a twist. It took me a little while to get into the book, but once I was caught up in the plot, it was hard to let go. I found the flashback to the beginning of the whole problem very interesting, and once you see why and how the whole thing got started, you have a different connection to the book and the main characters. Readers will be interested in seeing how things play out, and whether there is a way out of a seemingly hopeless situation. The plot advances at a good pace, and you will be kept guessing about the outcome for a long time.

Obviously when you look into the mirror, the person you see staring back at you is you, right? Well, a big-name rock star named Dane Bainbridge, who has grown to despise mirrors, would tell you otherwise in Christine Church's Beyond Every Mirror (Anachronistic Dimensions Book 1). The image that greets him might not be his own, but a woman he doesn't even know. Though he enjoys the quirks that come with living a rock star's life, he has no idea that there is a reason why he has fallen in love. Coming from a world that might've inspired the vampire myth, that woman in the mirror is more real than he ever could've known. He will find out just how much soon enough.

With blue eyes that occasionally glow silver, Dane Bainbridge can be described as a man who has reached the top and who doesn't think a lot of it. He simply lives, going through his usual routines every day. The author starts things off by rattling Dane's cage a bit when she makes him cross paths with an old woman who tells him that he is dead. Poor Dane. Christine Church gives readers a lovable protagonist, but there are torturous trials that await this hero. This wonderful love story takes place in a world that is as magical as it is dangerous for a lowly human to inhabit. Like a dangerous but beautiful animal, this romance novel comes with some nail-biting moments that are definitely worth reading. I recommend this book to vampire fans.
