Twenty-five-year-old Morticia ‘Tisha’ Adams witnesses a murder on her routine train commute. When the body disappears, she teams up with Detective Murphy, a man with mysterious abilities. But Tisha is keeping a secret of her own – the dead speak to her. It’s an ability that she has always hated and feared. As the body count rises and those closest to Tisha are drawn into the danger, Tisha’s only choice is to reach out to her estranged grandmother to learn more about her intuitive talents, prevent more deaths, and solve the case before it’s too late.
BlindSight (Adam Thriller Complete) by Susan Peterson Wisnewski is a complete edition containing all three books of the series. The first person point of view makes the narrative more intimate and engaging. The plot pace is appropriate and well-executed – the story opens with some introduction to the female lead’s life before a murder takes place, and then more of her backstory is gradually told as the story progresses. Susan Peterson Wisnewski did well in making sure that Tisha’s backstory didn’t disrupt the flow of the present happenings.
Tisha is a likable character, despite her mistakes in judgments regarding her crush, Ken, and her dodgy Uncle Chet. Readers would feel her yearning for security in a tough world, her need to understand her gift, and her longing for love. The straightforward prose and its short chapters can be whipped through in a couple of sittings. All in all, BlindSight is an enjoyable and easy read.
