After successfully completing her mission and killing the Russian terrorist who turned out to be her father, Jane is ready to relax a little with Luke at her side. She barely made it out alive herself, but now she wants nothing to do with that action-packed life and stays focused on just relaxing. Sadly, the adventure is not over for her or for Luke. She is going to the karate motherland, Okinawa, and she hopes that she can truly find something new and interesting. However, fate has other plans for her and Luke and they are not pleasant. This time, she has no idea what is coming after her and what is their reason behind it. What will she do now?
Born Again is the second novel in the Born Ready Series by Kathleen Belt. I loved Born Ready and I loved Jane in it. Her ability to sense oncoming danger seemed a little underwhelming in the beginning, but by the end of the first novel, I enjoyed how that came into play. Needless to say, she has more confidence over her power and she knows what her power does for her. Of course, the relationship between Jane and Luke is now finally on a roll. They are officially out of the friend zone and enjoying being in a relationship that actually works for them. I absolutely lived for the tension in this novel; it mounted to breaking point where I had almost chewed my nails off. Jane and Luke have grown up so much in this novel. They are more comfortable in their skin and they are more mature now. I enjoyed how confident they are about their powers now and they just play their part as a team. I loved this novel even more than the first!
