Let us join the sea child and the sea turtle and go on a fun and relaxing bubble ride through the ocean in Bubble Riding: A Relaxation Story designed to teach children visualization techniques to increase creativity while lowering stress and anxiety levels by Lori Lite. The sea child finished a long day and, for her, every day was hectic and busy. She just got back after a swim class and playing with her friends. She decided to treat herself to her favorite game, Bubble Riding. She swam to the edge of the coral reef and could feel the water getting warmer as she swam closer. She could now see the bubbles lifting through the sand. She decided to wait patiently for a big bubble. When a large bubble came, she hugged it and felt the bubble hugging her back and cradling her inside it. A sea turtle who was watching the sea child did the same thing and he was also cradled inside a bubble that formed around him. They both felt warm and safe inside their respective bubbles.
There is something meditative and spiritual about the story and it gives young readers a sense of calmness, peace, and relaxation as they read about the colors that flow through the bubble and fill the bodies of the sea child and sea turtle. It is a good story to encourage children to visualize their own protective bubble and imagine being in it with the colors they feel can bring them calmness and comfort. Max Stasyuk's images give clarity and vision to the author's concept and words, making them palpable to readers. It is a good way to understand how soothing and wonderful colors can be in everybody's daily lives. It is a wonderful story for parents and tutors to read to children to help them understand the healing power of colors and how they form an integral part of everyone's lives.
