Buddy the Bucket Filler: Daily Choices For Happiness is written by Carol McCloud and Maria Dismondy and illustrated by Julia Seal. Buddy was excited to visit his Uncle Frank for a week. On the drive to his uncle’s home, his father told him stories about the lessons he’d learned while spending time with Frank. Buddy called it filling a bucket. During his stay at Uncle Frank’s, Buddy helped around the farm. He cleaned the hen coop, helped with the town barbecue, picked cherries, and helped with the animals. What did Buddy learn while at his Uncle Frank’s house? What does it mean to be a bucket filler? Will Buddy have as good a time at Frank’s as his father did years before?
I absolutely love the message of spreading positivity in Buddy the Bucket Filler by Carol McCloud and Maria Dismondy. The characters are very interesting and will inspire kids to want to be kind and make good choices. The positive lessons in this book can help kids learn to fill their own buckets and grow up to be kind, caring, and understanding adults. The illustrations by Julia Seal are beautiful and add a lot of fun and charm to the story. I recommend Buddy The Bucket Filler to children who enjoy a story that is relatable and that they can learn moral lessons from. I look forward to more stories like this one from these talented authors who send kids positive messages that will stick with them throughout their lives.
