When the Butler Project crew, an assorted group that provides support and field testing for new technologies all the while based on a converted WWII ship the LST (Landing Ship, Tank) Pelican decides that a vacation is in order they head for the beautiful Seychelles for a little fun in the sun, and sand. Unfortunately all that changes when a beautiful photographer scuba diving near a small island of the Seychelles saves a drowning man and discovers that someone is trying to kill both of them. Their chance rescue by unlikely hero Matthew Butler and his friend Tommy Cooper thrusts them, along with the others making up a madcap crew into conflict over stolen artifacts and arms with a murderous band of gunrunners attempting to foment a revolution. What is that old saying? One good deed deserves another.
Move over NUMA and Dirk Pitt, he comes Matthew Butler and the Butler Project. Butler Did It starts off with a bang and continues on from there. Lovers of action-adventure here you go. The authors have created a very diverse group of characters. I quickly found myself smiling as they went from one crazy stunt to another. Along the way they must tackle a rogue gunrunner and his mercenary henchmen. No problem for the Butler crew. The Plot is simple, just pure action-adventure at its finest. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was nice to sit back and let my imagination take over envisioning sun, sand and beautiful…Well you know. Very well done.
