CATHOOD: The Original Cathood Blog by Rosie Malezer is the delightful blog of Muffin the cat. Muffin is the toughest cat and the blog is all about how to become a better cat, and it teaches others about how there is a right and a wrong way to do things. The book has some interesting tips and techniques for cats on how to live a good life and also asks them to share this blog with all the other cats so that they can learn how to become a perfect cat like Muffin. He also speaks about how to choose the perfect family and realizes that, unlike what his mother has told him, dogs can be trusted.

The idea of writing the book like a blog from the cat's point of view is refreshing and very original. The characters and the adventures are exciting and children will love the character of Muffin. It's an ideal book for bedtime storytelling and it's also good for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries. Muffin meeting Angel, the dog who changes his opinion about dogs, is also an endearing part of the story. The black and white illustrations are adorable, like the story and the characters, and they add life to the author's words and concept. It's a story that all kids will enjoy. There is a good pace and movement in the plot, which makes it a quick and enjoyable read. The story is simple and leaves readers with a warm feeling about cats and dogs. A very refreshing and original storybook for kids.
