CeCe the CEO Starts a Lemonade Stand by Nathan and Heather Pease is an engaging children's picture book that follows CeCe, a determined young girl with a lovely business idea. CeCe loves all kinds of lemonade, especially lemony-lemon lemonade. One day, she decides to share her lemonade with everyone and thinks she should start a lemonade stand, but how? However, with the right support, CeCe learns she needs to consider what she will need to start her business. CeCe is thrilled by the idea of making a list of everything she will need to make the best lemonade. But things don't go smoothly. She faces her first setback. Luckily, she's a CEO, so she must think like one and find a solution to her dilemma. This book also includes a step-by-step, kid-friendly guide that shows young readers how to start their lemonade stand, just like CeCe.
CeCe the CEO Starts a Lemonade Stand by Nathan and Heather Pease is a fun, wonderful, and age-appropriate introduction to entrepreneurship for children. Written in a thoughtful way, it motivates kids to build something of their own, think creatively, believe in themselves, plan, stay organized, ask for help when needed, and feel proud of their accomplishments. Parents who strive to raise children capable of leadership should add this to their must-have book list. With simple language, superb illustrations, and CeCe's journey, young readers will learn about responsibility, problem-solving, what it takes to start a small business, and that trying is part of learning. As someone who loves recommending or gifting great books, I'm glad there are more delightful upcoming entrepreneurial adventures in the CeCe the CEO series.
