Corporate Escapades by T.K. Ambers is a compelling and spectacular contemporary romance novel. A year ago, Paris DeMarcé lost her sister. She's been struggling ever since, drowning her pain in alcohol and drugs. Paris even lost her desire to live and alienated herself from her family, friends, and colleagues. Vic Alarie also lost someone important in his life. Like Paris, he's been acting recklessly lately. Vic constantly loses his temper and sleeps with different women. Paris and Vic are both heirs to ADG and can't stand each other. However, after some bad incidents, their parents decide to take drastic measures to stop their destructive behavior. Stripped of their luxurious lifestyle and positions within the company, they receive a list of things they are expected to do. Thus, they must work together to prove they can change their behavior, overcome their grief, and restore what they have lost.
Corporate Escapades by T.K. Ambers is a page-turner, at times hilarious, and so well-crafted that I read it in one day. It delights the reader with humor, emotion, tragedy, vulnerability, character development, and romance. This story is heartbreaking, insightful, and uplifting. It offers a raw depiction of how tragedy can send someone spiraling out of control, which can be painfully relatable for some readers. It's full of likable tropes to keep you thoroughly invested, such as enemies to lovers, office romance, rekindled friendship, forced proximity, high-stakes corporate drama, second chances, and redemption. I enjoyed that the protagonists are perfectly imperfect in their own way and that they progressively convince you to root for them.
