Joy is a congressman’s daughter, and when she is murdered, her friend convinces Ted to look into it. Ted is excellent at hacking, which has gotten him in trouble with the authorities. After looking through Joy's social media accounts, he discovers a terrorist plot, which he reports to the police, but instead of acting on it, they accuse Ted of being the murderer. Even Joy's father doesn’t support Ted at first, but as things unravel, he is on Ted's side and gets on board with his plan on how to decode the message. How will things turn out in Countdown to Decryption by DC Palter as they try to avert a terrorist plot amid various groups taking advantage of the situation?

Once you start reading Countdown to Decryption by DC Palter, there is no putting it down. The writing is crisp, engaging, and filled with well-crafted dialogue that brings the story and characters to life. I loved the themes covered, such as technology and how things like hacking can be used to do good, not just evil. This thought-provoking work also gets one thinking about how public institutions use crises to pass draconian laws that ultimately infringe on the rights of citizens. Palter ensured all events and places were vividly described, which will capture the imagination of the reader. The characters are well-developed, and the plot flows seamlessly, leaving no room for confusion. The reader will also appreciate the excellent narration and the easy-to-understand language used, which makes the work accessible to all kinds of audiences. I look forward to reading something else by DC Palter.
