Dark Psychology and Manipulation by Dane Krauss is Book 6 of the Mind Improvement For Beginners series. It refers to the phenomenon in which people use motivation, social persuasion, manipulation, and coercion strategies to get what they want. This book includes discussions on wider topics like NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and its techniques. The chapter on Non-Verbal Communication and Body Language conveys what we aren’t verbally expressing, thus helping us to develop the ability to “read” the emotions and motivations of other people. This book aims to prevent us from falling prey to manipulation. After reading this book, you will know when you encounter any manipulators and how to deal with them. You are taught how to analyze people and defend yourself from being misled or fooled. Practitioners and students in fields such as social work, law enforcement, public relations, and most of all, individuals who may fall victim to abuse will learn from this book. Your strength is knowing the characteristics of manipulators and the reasons why they manipulate.

Any person in any type of relationship is susceptible to being manipulated. The answer is to find ways to boost your self-esteem and be self-assured. If you have self-doubt or confusion, seek guidance in this book. However, it is not always easy to spot manipulative tendencies. Some people dive into dark psychology to learn how to manipulate others. Dark Psychology and Manipulation can be applied in training programs to make learners aware of unethical, underhanded psychology and persuasive strategies. These tactics are frequently used in politics, advertising, sales strategies, and even in corporate management, propaganda, and conflicts of war. Dane Krauss offers an incredible journey into the psychology of the human mind. Everyone can learn how to reclaim their power and control by guarding themselves against the hidden motives and covert tactics of a manipulator. This book is well laid out with concise and clear theories that are understandable. I was pleasantly surprised by facts that I had never thought about.
