Jerry J. Pollock, Ph.D. courageously shares his memoirs with readers. The portrait Jerry paints of his family is cold and distant. His mother was promiscuous. His father was neurotic and was in and out of hospitals. Jerry had severe headaches from age four, which frightened him. He seems to have spent most of his life frightened. Jerry repressed all of these memories until they came flooding back after forty years. A short time later he had his first bout of manic depression and psychosis. He suddenly thought inanimate objects were capability of being either good or evil. He was paranoid and hallucinated. He thought he was playing chess with Saddam Hussein.

He sought help for manic-depression and faced treatments such as: electro shock therapy, prescription medicines, and hospitalization. Miracles happen, and Dr. Pollock connects with God. God spoke to him and give his peace and freedom from his demons.
