R. G. Edwards, a local (Bethpage, TN) writer, onetime Christian music artist and currently a battler of Parkinson's disease, was home-schooling his two girls one afternoon in 2005, amid a terrible spring lightning storm, when an idea for a children’s book - ''Eafin Lokdore and the Magician’s Lost Medallion,'' came to him. Soon the idea had developed into a three book series – the Eafin Lokdore Trilogy.
Fast forward to today and some 18+ years later finds the author now with the time to truly devote to his gift of writing. Developing the first Audiobook from Book II, now working on Book I for Audiobook, and having completed Book III in June of 2025.

The nuanced depiction of Eafin’s relationship with his beloved mentor provides the emotional depth to his character, grounding him as an authentically flawed and relatable hero. His initial awkwardness and incomplete training make his eventual growth all the more satisfying as he unravels the mysteries of his lineage and steps into his destiny. The narrative shines with beautiful prose, engaging dialogues, and masterful use of epistolary elements and streams of consciousness that offer intimate glimpses into Eafin’s inner world. The audiobook narration by Lachlan Miller is superb, bringing each character to life with distinct voices and emotional resonance. There’s an immersive quality to this production that makes it impossible to pause, a truly enchanting listen from start to finish. I devoured this audiobook in just two sittings, captivated by the story of Eafin, a hero with doubts, still haunted by questions about his parents and the legacy they left behind.
