With each passing month, seasonal pictures are presented in color, almost in calendar format, as beautiful words are uttered by a young girl whose undying gratitude is expressed openly and lovingly. Grateful for the love and kindness that her parents have shown her in her growing years, she opens her heart and bares her soul to the people who have loved and cared for her, ensuring that her life is one of thriving beauty and peace.
I could not help but be touched emotionally, almost to the point of tears, as I read each of the words the author, Ashley Lauren, has written. It is rare to see a love and form of gratitude so strong and unconditional, especially from that of a child to a parent, as many parents grow up feeling like they are taken for granted in so many respects. These carefully chosen images are well thought out, with their placement representing the most important element of each particular month. Every Month I Love You More is a testament to the life of a child who has not been forced to suffer the pain of neglect, but rather the endless love and support that a parent should ideally give, whilst instilling values that will last a lifetime. I very much enjoyed each and every page of Every Month I Love You More, and recommend it to children, teenagers and adults alike.
