In Forecasting Christmas by Melody Locke, TV meteorologist Hailey Landry loves her job in Austin, Texas, and is expecting a big promotion, but when she is called into a meeting with her boss, did she ever get the surprise of her life. She was told she is being sent to a small town in Vermont as the meteorologist for their small TV station. But this just can't be happening, she is being demoted! But, she is told either move to Holiday Falls, Vermont or leave the company. Why is this happening to her. She has worked so hard for this company.
I love small-town Christmas stories and Forecasting Christmas by Melody Locke is so wonderful! My heart hurt for Hailey, because she has decisions to make that will change her life forever. But it helps a lot that she is staying at a winter wonderland-looking inn, with snow outside and full of Christmas decorations everywhere, just as Hailey likes it. I love the main characters, Hailey and Kyle. Their first meeting was hilarious, and the next several were almost as bad. But it did get better as they spent more time together. I also love how Kyle's family took Hailey in like she was their own. Their interactions between each other was what everyone wants in a small-town story. The entire Holiday Falls story was snowy, fantastic and wonderful, and I loved everything about it. This is my first book by author Melody Locke, and I will be looking for more of her books to read. If you enjoy a good, clean, cozy, Hallmark Movie-worthy Christmas read, you have to try this book. You will definitely not be disappointed.
