"Angelfire Trilogy Book 3: Forever Man" by Karen Wiesner was wonderful. It is a pure love story containing sex without the details and characters you can’t help but root for. Savannah O’Brien is a young single lawyer and Brett Foxx was her client and friend. Savannah is afraid to make a commitment and Brett is angry and reckless. They share a friendship that allows each to see the other's pains and hurts. They are able to convince themselves that they are not looking for anything more by constantly talking themselves out of love.
Savannah’s beloved daddy leaves her at daycare promising to be back soon and never returns. Savannah carries this burden for over thirty years shunning any chance at love or happiness. She runs as fast as she can from any man who has any possibility of turning it into a serious relationship. Brett is a wild young man who hires Savvy, as he likes to call her, as his lawyer. She is the first one he calls each time he is in trouble or ends up in the hospital because of another motorcycle crash. Each are with other partners but there is always a special spark between them. Savannah is hurt and confused when Brett leaves a message at the switchboard that he no longer needs her services.
Several years go by and by chance Savvy and Brett meet again. Here the love story slowly takes shape. They become entangled in each other’s joy and pain and supply the needed support for each situation. We watch as this love blossoms and flourishes and cheer and cry with them during the good and bad.
Karen Wiesner has a winner in "Forever Man". It is the kind of book you can’t put down, but hate when you come to the last page. If you enjoy a good love story without the smut – don’t pass this one by.
