C.S. Talbott’s Goddess Seeker is an inspirational story for pursuing dreams. Steven Jenny was a fan of the famous runner Prefontaine and a loyal Nike supporter. When Steven went to Jogger’s Bar, he heard, “See; find J.” He then was approached by Jenny Seeker. They discovered they shared the same interests in literature, and she left her email on a napkin. He pours his heart out in an email only to have his hopes crushed. He becomes determined as a Goddess Seeker and receives the message “Pre says Three.” Steven begins a quest to start a marathon event in honor of his idol and wants Nike to be a sponsor for his idea.

Goddess Seeker deserves a 5-star rating for the motivational message C.S. Talbott delivers. Steven encounters major setbacks but never loses sight of his dream. He finds three more Jens, and he connects with them all on different levels. I found myself fuming over how he was led on by several of his love interests. I admire his determination in achieving his goals. He faced hardships financially that would have made many give up, and it was this tenacity that I found inspiring. The red notebook containing his story was brilliant, and I hoped that the “Master” of Nike would recognize his dream as a major accomplishment to support. I would recommend this book to adults that can dream of possibilities. The engaging dialogue and Steven’s narrative of his experiences are complemented by a solid plot and well-developed supporting characters.
