Grumpy Lost and Found in Naples is an educational children's book by Susan Marie Chapman, with illustrations by Natalia Loseva, and is the second installment in the Grumpy the Iguana and Green Parrot Adventure series. The story follows the adventures of Grumpy the iguana and his green parrot friend as Grumpy climbs down from his tree home in Flamingo Park, Miami Beach, to stretch his legs on a chilly morning. He falls asleep under a blanket, only to wake up in the trunk of a family's car when they leave the park. Worried about finding his way back home, Grumpy hopes his roommate, the green parrot, has noticed his absence.

Susan Marie Chapman's Grumpy Lost and Found in Naples is a delightful and educational children's book that will captivate young readers' imaginations. It provides a mini science lesson wrapped up in a beautiful tale about Grumpy's fear and loss. Readers learn that iguanas are cold-blooded animals that cannot tolerate extreme temperature drops, as Grumpy shivers on a chilly day. Loseva's visually appealing illustrations immediately convey the characters' emotions, setting, and mood, bringing the story to life with vibrant and detailed images. One of the book's strengths is its emphasis on friendship and cooperation. Grumpy and the green parrot work together to solve problems and overcome obstacles, providing young readers with a heartwarming example of friendship. This is an excellent addition to the series and a great way to introduce children to science and the value of friendship.
