Hamish the Hedgehog, Cooking Classes (2) by P.J. Tierney is a fun and educational book for children. Hamish the Hedgehog is back with another yummy adventure for the young reader. Hamish is preparing for his first-ever cooking class with Grandma Nolan. He is as excited as can be and has even written a checklist. Once he has ticked everything off, Hamish makes his way through the woods, to the Nolan family's house. Hamish first learns the important rules of working in a kitchen. After making a delicious lunch for himself and his friends, Hamish returns home with a tricky decision to make - who would be tall enough to help him at his next class? Who will Hamish choose? And what yummy foods will he make this time?
P.J. Tierney has once again delighted me with another book in the series. Hamish the Hedgehog, Cooking Classes (2) is as enjoyable as the first. Children will love reading about Hamish's new adventures in the kitchen, and will once again be able to follow the recipes included and become real-life chefs. The story is intriguing and the illustrations by Aishwarya Vohra are colorful and attractive - children will adore them! The writing reads flawlessly and children can follow along easily. I can't wait to see what Hamish cooks up next. I will certainly be on the lookout for book 3!
