Her Brother's Keeper: The Jane Barnaby Adventures, Book 3 is a sleuth mystery novel written by J.J. DiBenedetto. If Jane had mixed feelings about the wisdom of inviting her father and his girlfriend, Cassie, to Mallorca for the Christmas expedition she was part of, they intensified when she went to pick them up at the airport. Cassie and her dad had been going out for so long now, she couldn't really understand why they hadn't decided to marry yet. She was even more clueless why her dad had decided to invite her twin brother, George, to join them, without a word said to her beforehand. Still, she resolved to make the best of the slightly uncomfortable situation. To add even more chaos to the scene, one of the expedition members who had traveled with Joe, her father, and Cassie, had the unpleasant habit of talking non-stop, and would blithely insult, berate and offend anyone within listening distance. When they reached their host's house, Bill was nowhere to be seen. He had left Jane a note, asking her to play host in his absence. That duty would keep her busy overtime, especially after her brother made the totally unexpected acquaintance of a young blond woman.
Her Brother's Keeper: The Jane Barnaby Adventures is the third book in J.J. DiBenedetto's sleuth mystery series; however, readers who are new to the series will find that the author has provided enough background information throughout the story to allow this book to be enjoyed on its own. Jane Barnaby is an action-oriented archaeologist whose grasp of the right things to do in an emergency is both instinctive and finely calculated at a moment's notice. It's marvelous to watch her in action in this fast-paced international thriller as she tries to rescue her brother from a Russian criminal. This is a well-written and highly entertaining thriller that hits the ground running and doesn't let up on the suspense until the very end. Her Brother's Keeper: The Jane Barnaby Adventures, Book 3 is highly recommended.
