Francesca and Drew met under unfavorable circumstances when Drew splashed Francesca while on her way to work. But for these two lonely people, unfavorable slowly turns to pleasant when they start going out with each other. Growing up with a hateful mother, Francesca closes off her heart to new relationships. Drew’s persistence and his two lovable kids slowly soften Francesca’s heart, but when Drew brings Francesca to Scotland to meet his family, her insecurities resurface. Spending time with his happy and complete family made her feel sad and inadequate. How will Drew help Francesca to open her heart fully, let go of her uncertainties and experience love in His Sun Goddess by J.E. Powell.
His Sun Goddess is a short, romantic story between two broken people who will help make each other whole. Francesca grew up in a loveless family and Drew’s wife died, leaving him with two kids to care for. Francesca was shy and reluctant to start something at first, but Drew’s patience and love helped her to overcome her fears. The children welcomed Francesca into their family, which also helped her to open up. The story was sweet and delightful to read. The characters were likable and real. The settings were described with good details, it made me felt the cold weather and the warm drinks and the fireplace while reading. It all ended very well and it was perfect. It was a story of love and family, recommended to anyone who is a fan of the romance genre.
