Horace in Space by Mary L Schmidt is a fun picture book about dreaming big. Horace the pig has big dreams – he wants to get on a rocket or spaceship and head to space. By day, he plays with his toy rockets, and by night, he dreams of going to the International Space Station (ISS). Then one day, Horace got a phone call – he was being invited to go to the ISS! He wasn’t allowed to take anything with him, though, not even his favorite snacks, but he did get to wear a spacesuit and walk in space! Join Horace as he tells us of his adventure and how he got back to Earth. Was it real or just one of his dreams, though?

Horace in Space by Mary L Schmidt is a cool book for kids about a little pig and his dreams. This is very well-written, and it’s also educational, teaching readers about the ISS, how astronauts live up there, and what space is like. They’ll also learn about gravity, and while this is a short book and doesn’t go into huge detail about these things, it’s enough to make kids want to ask questions, and that’s a win. This is an entertaining story with lovely illustrations that will keep kids happy, and it will hopefully encourage them to keep dreaming of what they want, because no dream is too big. I recommend this for reading at home and in any children’s learning environment, as it’s perfect for groups and encourages back-and-forth discussions about what they learned.

Join a little pig on his space adventures in this colorful picture book by Mary L. Schmidt. Horace in Space follows the story of a pig named Horace. All Horace wants is to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) one day. The ISS is a space station where astronauts from different countries work and conduct scientific research while it orbits around the planet. When Horace gets the opportunity to fly to the ISS on a spacecraft, he is more than excited and starts packing his suitcase with his favorite snacks. But he wasn't allowed to take his suitcase or his snacks to the ISS. After arriving at the ISS, Horace takes a spacewalk, eats berries, apples, and nuts, takes pictures of Earth, and has a great adventure.

Horace in Space is a captivating adventure story for early readers. Kids will not only be entertained by this fun-filled picture book but also embark on a thrilling journey to discover a few fascinating facts about space, the ISS, gravity, and more. Using eye-catching illustrations and engaging prose, author Mary L. Horace in Space, a beautifully written tale by Mary L. Schmidt, is the inspiring story of Horace, a clever and curious pig with dreams as vast as the universe. He yearns to soar among the stars in a magnificent spaceship or a sleek rocket, far beyond the boundaries of Earth. One fateful day, luck smiles upon him as Horace is invited to go on a journey to the International Space Station (ISS). Overwhelmed with excitement and wonder, he eagerly packs his bags, filling them with varieties of snacks, only to realize they won't be necessary in the weightless space beyond Earth. As Horace embarks on this extraordinary journey, he learns to navigate the breathtaking vastness of space, where he experiences the thrill of floating freely among the stars. Along the way, he faces the fun yet daunting challenges of survival in space. What amazing space cuisine will he savour in zero gravity? Horace in Space simplifies complex concepts for children so creatively. The book explores themes of space exploration, creativity, imagination, resilience, adaptation, curiosity, and the power of ambition. It educates young readers about space, including the food astronauts eat and the reasons they float, as well as how spacecraft land, all presented in a very engaging manner. I love the beautiful illustrations that accompany each page, making learning more interesting and eye-catching for children. The book sparks a high level of creativity and encourages readers to dare to dream. The last page will give readers something to ponder and answer. I also admired Mary L. Schmidt's attention to detail, vivid imagery, and the simplicity of her writing. I highly recommend this book.
