Are you feeling tired? Run down? Exhausted by daily struggles? Go on a journey of self-discovery. Live a life of intention, inner peace, and solitude with Darren Littlejohn in his book How to Gain Nothing From Buddhist Practice: A Practitioner's Guide to End Suffering. Starting with three basic dharmas, the author breaks down somewhat complicated teachings and presents them in a simply understood format. Complete with journal practice, meditations, mirror practices and more, this book is more than just a self-help book. It is a system to help the reader end suffering and live a life of peace and love. Teaching dharmas, pranas, asanas, and even a few mantras, this book delves deeply into the spiritual daily practice of Buddhism.
How To Gain Nothing From Buddhist Practice by Darren Littlejohn is the perfect book for those searching for answers concerning Buddhism. Although this is considered a self-help book, I found it to be more. With real life applications, the author gently guides the reader through the confusion of practicing Buddhism. This book helps you create a lifestyle based on Buddhist practice. The author, a recovering alcoholic, uses many painful, yet helpful experiences of his own for the reader to understand the principles found within his book. I found the author's honesty to be refreshing. I am certain that many readers will benefit from his experiences. I have lightly studied Buddhism off and on for several years and found this book to be enlightening and helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Buddhism, struggles with addictions, or who is ready to find a path of peace.
