We all see something, all the time. We see animals, people and all kinds of things, big and small. I See, I See... Animals focuses on animals, learning the names of various animals and insects (butterflies and bees) through colorful images of the animal and the word itself written out in simple, bold script.

Using repetitive language and simple sentence structure, author Cintia Roman-Garbelotto has created a fun tool to help young beginning readers learn to read and to read by themselves. By the end of I See, I See... Animals, the young reader will at least recognize the words, "I see", because each new animal is introduced with the phrase, "I see, I see." It's an enthusiastic ploy to capture the young reader's attention as they can almost feel the excitement building as they learn to recognize yet another word for another animal.

The book is beautifully illustrated and it follows a series of animal words, accompanied by pictures, coupling more complicated animal words like 'elephant' with a very simple word 'bee,' which just so happens to rhyme with 'see.' "I see, I see, I see an elephant and I see a bee." The use of repetition and rhyming words adds fun to the learn-to-read exercise. It becomes almost a sing-along, read-along activity that will thrill any young reader. This is an excellent learn-to-read picture book. The use of very colorful and appealing pictures and bold letters written in simple script adds to the book's appeal. This is the type of book that parents or grandparents and children will enjoy sharing time and time again. Well done!
