Ice in the Blood by Bryan Cassiday is a compilation of Tales from the Edge of Fear. Los Angeles ... day or night sociopaths, murderers, rapists, and serial killers wander the streets – would you know who they are? From Twelve Step programs to fake US Marshals and corruption at the highest level, evil wends its way through the city and down to the Florida Keys. For some, stopping their vicious, cold-blooded life is not an option and the only way they will leave their killing fields is in a body bag or locked away behind steel bars. Money, deception, hooking, and murder are all king in LA – who will the next victim be?
Ice in the Blood by Bryan Cassiday is a must-read book for all fans of crime, be it crime thrillers or true crime stories. Each story has its own unique characters and ending and each will leave you chilled. Some you will read in complete disbelief, while others will leave you wondering what happened and how. All of them will thrill you to the core. The characters in each story are well-developed and they could be anyone. Anyone you walk past in the street or open your front door to, or even the person two seats down on the subway. This is a well-written book that perfectly characterizes the times we live in now, with streets filled with violence and blood, and it will make you look carefully at anyone you meet, wondering who they are. An excellent anthology. I would love to read more of the same from Bryan Cassiday – definitely an author to add to your must-read list.
