Investing QuickStart Guide by Ted D. Snow CFP, MBA is an expanded second edition of the self-help finance and investing guide in the QuickStart series, for those with an interest in finding “The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Successfully Navigating the Stock Market, Growing Your Wealth & Creating a Secure Financial Future”. This is a detailed, highly comprehensive book with an incredible wealth of information, broken down into three distinct and interconnected parts. Part one, Key Asset Classes, brings readers into the fold with a thorough examination of asset allocation, securities, and real estate. Part two, Investment Strategies and Tactics, moves from the 'what' and delves into the how and why, with a look at short and long-term strategies, what to consider when calculating growth, and the areas where investors can be hamstrung by their mentality, among others. Part three, Getting in the Game, takes the baton and sprints into decisions, who to consult with, services, taxes, and a host of other follow-through details.

I personally work in the judicial sector of finance and can say with absolute certainty that Ted D. Snow knows what he is talking about in Investing QuickStart Guide. Yes, it is a beginner's guide but some of the expanded areas that are relevant to the market today, following a worldwide pandemic that threw everything we thought we knew about investment predictability out the window, are something everyone needs to read. When iPay, entirely online banking, and shifting ideas where the economy is chasing change instead of the other way around, we need more than just a stodgy old investor talking to us about mutual funds and IRAs. The part that I appreciated most was the free downloadable companion workbooks and sheets that Snow has prepared to take readers beyond just reading and actually doing some of the homework immediately. The writing is clean, easy to understand, and not bogged down with superfluous jargon. The style is conversational but still professional, with some interesting stopping points along the way to reflect and review. Very highly recommended.
