Jigsaw: Battle For The Final Frontier by David Alyn Gordon is a wild, time-hopping thrill ride that blends sci-fi spectacle with clever historical twists. This second installment in a genre-bending trilogy catapults readers from a futuristic space plane to the trenches of WWI, 1930s Nebraska, and even the Golden Age of Hollywood; all in a desperate race to protect key cultural moments that shaped science fiction itself. This is a brave and bold story with plenty of cinematic nostalgia and high-stakes action, and a central team of characters who are as lovable as they are capable.

Author David Alyn Gordon has a fantastic talent for handling a huge amount of information and transforming it into pure entertainment, and his ability to interweave cultural history with thrilling time-travel mechanics makes Jigsaw uniquely captivating for that very reason. It’s full of brilliant historical detail as Francesca, Noah, and their crew square off against the shadowy forces of Novus Ordo, and the stakes are nothing less than the fate of stories themselves. This makes for an interesting central theme where freedom to dream and imagine is the very core of the narrative, and this enthusiasm for storytelling is ingrained into every warm moment of the confidently spun prose. With fast-paced chapters and a youthful, adventurous tone, this is a must-read for YA sci-fi fans and lovers of speculative fiction that honors the past while fighting for the future. Overall, I highly recommend Jigsaw: Battle For The Final Frontier to anyone seeking a vibrant and capable new author.

Jigsaw: Battle For The Final Frontier by David Alyn Gordon follows Temporal Guardians Mariah, Connor, Francesca, and Noah, who are tasked with protecting different people in history from Novus Ordo agents who attempt to alter the past. The Guardians are divided into teams to prevent Novus Ordo from tampering with events like the creation of Batman and the involvement of Karl Freund and Bert Granet in significant television projects. As they travel through different periods, including 1915, 1958, and 79 CE, the Guardians battle Novus Ordo agents, rescue captured allies, and uncover the organization's plan to manipulate history for their gain. The Guardians must ensure that key historical moments are preserved while fighting to stop Novus Ordo’s dangerous manipulation of time.

Jigsaw by David Alyn Gordon is a tightly written, imaginative dive into the chaos of time travel, where history, espionage, and ideology collide. The story leaps seamlessly across centuries, from war-torn Europe to mid-century Hollywood, without ever losing focus or momentum. Gordon’s prose is smart and straightforward, dripping with period detail but never bogged down by it. There are a lot of moving pieces regarding the characters, but Gordon individualizes them in their own paths, their own impossible choices, and a plot that feels urgent and real. The villains are as interesting as the heroes, and Gordon does a great job of showing how history could be both manipulated and defended. With strong pacing, immersive worldbuilding, and dialogue that rings true, this is a genre-bending thriller that’s intelligent, daring, and decidedly human. It is sci-fi for readers who want their pulses quickened and their minds engaged. Recommended.

Jigsaw: Battle for the Final Frontier by David Alyn Gordon is about a group—Noah, Francesca, Mariah, Connor, and Bonomi—who work for the foundation as Temporal Guardians alongside many other allies and spies to bring down Novus Ordo, protect historical events, and keep world peace. They somehow wound up on a space plane in the future and were captured by Novus Ordo. They're later saved by Temporal Guardians in the future, brought to safety, and briefed on the plan to bring down Novus Ordo by stopping their operation called "History's Forgotten." These Temporal Guardians are equipped and sent to different time zones to stop Novus Ordo's attacks before they happen. They all go through different near-death experiences and situations to execute their plans. Will they succeed? Will they return victorious or die trying? Read Jigsaw to find out.

Jigsaw by David Alyn Gordon delivers a fresh plot with classic superhero movie vibes, which gives both action and satisfaction while reading. The pace is fast enough to keep things interesting; not too rushed, but not slow either. The scenes are written with the right amount of momentum. The action scenes are vibrant, lively, and exciting, and feel real. The characters always look out for each other during the mission, even in separate time zones. The themes are historical intervention and preservation, time travel, and the battle between good and evil. David expertly merges science fiction, like time travel, and supernatural entities, like vampires, with real historical events. The writing style is dynamic and engaging as it combines historical facts with the excitement of science fiction, making every scene easy to visualize. Jigsaw stays in your mind for hours after reading. I enjoyed the book, and the writing is top-notch.
