In her hometown of New Orleans, there’s a favorite tasty dish, borrowed from different cultures, called gumbo. It’s a big pot full of chicken, sausages, shrimp, mild seasonings and bold spices. And it simmers long and slow in a thin, brown gravy. When you taste it, you feel good.

Angie wrote Just for Girlfriends!! to share different experiences from Christian women that would help another Christian sister experiencing the same.
Christian women are moms, wives, daughters, sisters, friends, bosses, employees, caregivers, prayer warriors, group leaders and many other things
in-between. Whew!
Angie wants Christian women to be refreshed and inspired. She wants her fellow Christian sisters to know it is going to be alright because God’s Word says so. And she wants Christian women to find friends within these pages that let them know,

Just for Girlfriends!! by Angie Dent is a beautiful collection of stories about strong Christian women, and how their faith has helped them with life’s dilemmas. Sometimes we can struggle in our relationships with children and loved ones. Maybe there are marriage difficulties, or you feel overwhelmed when life doesn't go according to plan. This book will explore the possibility that if your faith in God is strong in the most difficult of times, then the answer will come in all manner of ways. The stories will shine a light in your hour of darkness, and inspire you to believe in the power of God to give you the strength and support you need. How can you revive a marriage that has lost it way? How can you build bridges with your children? This book is filled with inspiration and techniques to restore your faith in God. Also included are valuable discussion questions which will encourage self-awareness of your behaviour.
Each of the short stories conveys a very clear message that anyone can relate to. Belief and faith can sometimes be lost in the struggle of everyday life. Your vision becomes impaired. These stories will clear the murkiness and help you find a solution. The characters have been very well created, and the dilemmas and story lines are cleverly constructed. I could relate to the stories, especially 9 Months, where a new marriage is saved by being understanding and compassionate towards your spouse. Alaina's Ending was a beautiful story, reminding us to treasure the times we have with loved ones before they are no longer here. Finally, String Of Pearls is a heartwarming tale of how a parent supports their child through life. The affirmations at the end were motivational for me and the discussion questions will really make anyone question their own thought patterns.
