The Bible tells us in John 23a: "That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father." What does it really mean to Honor God? Are you willing to take a 27-day challenge to "Just Honor God?" Do you think it is possible that your life could really honor God? Dr. Rick Metrick wrote this book to help anyone wanting to take this challenge. Here you will find 27 days of devotions, tips and Scriptures to help you through these 27 days in your life. Though the devotions are simple, it gives you time to think about what you have read and what you can do to honor God for that day. Each day also has a 'Badge of Honor' at the end. One of my favorites is "Those who Just Honor God have a lasting desire to keep His Word in their heart." There is a blog and website set up for this book as well for more information.
Dr. Metrick is starting a wonderful movement for Christians wanting to grow deeper in their relationship with God. In taking this challenge, you are saying that you want to honor God in all areas of you life, in all that you do, and all that you have, and that you have a heart that honors God. My first thought in looking at this small book was that this is just a simple thing to do, but boy, was I wrong. This is deep in-depth study of God's word each day and having a real desire to honor God in whatever way He wants you to do. This is truly God's desire for His children.
I highly recommend this 27-day challenge for you to do individually, or with a group or in your church. I encourage you to grab a copy for yourself and spread the word around.
