Landon, the Superhero of the Worlds: A Race to Save the Human Race is the second book in the Landon Series, both written and illustrated by Titus Andrew M. Bonifacio. After having a strange dream about revisiting the ruins of Cat World, Landon Sotill finds and adopts a stray dog which he names Cyberdog, and enhances him with superpowers. Unbeknownst to Landon, his every move is being watched by his former best friend (now arch-nemesis), Brandon, on hidden television monitors. An ambush attack is launched by Brandon, who unleashes his drones on Landon and his friend, Pistacio. With the help of Cyberdog, Jaime and Pistacio, young superhero Landon hurries to his cave and attempts to discover the location of Brandon’s secret lair, but to no avail. Knowing that it is just a matter of time before Brandon and his drones take over Earth, Landon and his friends step up the search in order to put a stop, once and for all, to Brandon’s plans of global domination ... with surprising results.

Titus Andrew M. Bonifacio’s characters are unique and straight from the imagination of a young boy who tells the story of good versus evil, when best friends become sworn enemies. I suggest that this book is read in sequence to the first in the series. Landon, the Superhero of the Worlds: A Race to Save the Human Race was filled with excitement and fun. The superpowers are a great touch to the story, as are the secret, hidden lairs of both boys; a youthful version of Superman versus Lex Luthor comes to mind when reading about Landon’s adventure. The illustrations were clever, with Titus Andrew M. Bonifacio’s artistic talents proving to be detailed and imaginative. I believe that younger audiences aged 6-10 will enjoy the thrill and adventure of Brandon, Landon, Cyberdog and the rest of the sidekicks in this suspenseful war of supervillain versus superhero.
