Lessons From the Range: Adventures of a Working Cowboy by Gary Williams is an interesting memoir that speaks about the author's passion for horses and his longing to become a cowboy. The author's experiences and adventures with horses and wild cattle, which were his constant companions, will keep readers entertained till the very end. Through the pages of this book, the lure of the range, cowboys, and the animals come alive. Not many people have the stamina and desire to endure the harsh conditions cowboys do, and the author captures the essence of this rare breed called cowboys through his story.

The book is engaging and gives readers a peek into the lives of cowboys. Readers can feel the author's pain, his joys, the thrills, the chills, and his adventurous streak through the vivid narration. The lessons learned and the author's adventures show his character and grit, and readers also learn about the ten points of cowboy ethics. The pictures shared by the author help readers connect better with his life, his passion for horses and wild cattle, and his time as a cowboy.
