Liberty Stands For Freedom is the second book in The Giving Collection by Colleen M. Bratley. Little Wing Liberty is a happy young eagle. But sometimes, others call him names, and it hurts his feelings. Little Wing has a conversation with his mom, who assures him that it's not his fault, as only hurt people lash out at others. Little Wing is determined to make the upcoming 4th of July Independence Day celebration a show of what freedom is all about. He seeks help from his three friends, Argus, Terabelle, and Hoppity, and asks them to perform on the day and showcase their talents. Now, Little Wing has a surprise in store for everyone that includes his former bully, Brighteye.

Liberty Stands For Freedom is a wonderful children's book that teaches gentle lessons on kindness, friendship, and freedom. Author Colleen M. Bratley tells a beautiful story about liberty, honor, and peace. This heartwarming picture book will delight children and older readers alike. It's a quick read but leaves an impact on you long after you've finished reading. The characters are sweet and have distinct traits that set them apart. Little Wing is someone young readers will find it easy to resonate with. His friendships with Argus, Terabelle, and Hoppity will put a smile on your face. I also enjoyed how he showed kindness to his old bully and brought him inside the circle of his friends. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this picture book and am sure young readers will feel the same. Highly recommended.
