Little Brother's Temper Tantrums by Mary Esparza-Vela is a fun children's book that takes place in outer space. The book follows three alien children named Kyzee, Sweetz, and Hunee. Kyzee and Sweetz were going treasure hunting on a nearby planet, when their younger brother, Hunee, decided he wanted to go too. Kyzee and Sweetz knew that their mother wouldn't allow them to go unless they took Hunee, so they allowed him to come along. The two older siblings find lots of treasure, but Hunee remains miserable all day, claiming there was no good treasure. Hunee wanders off and finds a dinosaur, and declares that it is his treasure, but the dinosaur won't fit in the rocket ship. Hunee throws a tantrum. What will Kyzee and Sweetz do?

I really enjoyed reading Little Brother's Temper Tantrums by Mary Esparza-Vela. Many people will be able to relate to this book, because many people have a younger sibling that whines when they don't get their way. The book is very well written. The characters are likeable, because Kyzee and Sweetz let Hunee go treasure hunting with them, even though they don't want to. The pictures by Mike Motz are well drawn and help to depict each scene. I like the way the aliens were drawn, and the dinosaur was adorable. The pictures are also very colourful. Children will enjoy reading this book, especially if they have siblings. The book is well developed and thought out. I would definitely recommend this book to all young readers.
