Little Sisters Are a BIG Deal by Adrienne C. Graham is an adorable book about a girl who wished her little sister away (like every big sister must have tried to do at some point in their life). Christine is three years older than Renee. When Renee was a baby, Christine didn’t mind having her around, but now that Renee is three, she wants to do everything that Christine does, which drives Christine crazy. One night, Christine wishes in anger that her little sister would disappear: “only for a year or two (nothing major).” The next morning, she wakes up in a Renee-free house. How does Christine feel, and for how long will Renee be gone?

Little Sisters Are a BIG Deal is a cute, relatable children’s book. Narrated from Christine’s first-person perspective, the book comprises 34 pages. The plot was simple but interesting, and there was an important lesson to be learned from it. I also enjoyed the colorful pictures as they illustrated the characters perfectly and made the story more lively. What I appreciated most was the message that we should love and tolerate our siblings regardless of how annoying they are. Another important aspect of this work is its impeccable editing. I was most impressed by what Adrienne C. Graham achieved with the book and it deserves 5 perfect stars. This book is suitable for children of all ages, but it is especially recommended for older siblings.
