What is love? It's such an essential yet profound question. It becomes especially important when a child asks about love. Alyssa Londoño's Love...is Everywhere: A Story About Seeing Everyday Love invites us to explore the very essence of love, looking at it through the eyes of a child, bright and innocent. A little girl asks those around her crucial questions regarding love, whether it is real, and where it comes from. Finally, she decides to embark on a quest to find the answers and draw the necessary conclusions. What she discovers is significant not only for young readers but also for adults as well.
Love...is Everywhere is brilliantly illustrated by accomplished artist John Konecny. I liked the vivid illustrations depicting the lovable image of the main character. Alyssa Londoño and Konecny managed to create a remarkable character - curious, funny, genuine, and radiant. I appreciated that Londoño explained such a fundamental concept as love in simple words. After reading this fascinating book, children would easily understand that they can find the signs of love in their everyday activities. I find it important that the story teaches kids to treasure their time with grandparents, understand the true meaning of friendship, and be kind to animals, among other amazing things. This marvelous book reminds parents and teachers about the significance of simple things, like a smell of a favorite flower. This is a valuable read for inquisitive young minds in search of knowledge regarding the meaning of love.
